Q.What is the difference between glue down, nail down, and click lock floating installation? A.Glue down installation method is the adhesive spread completely over the wood substrate or concrete substrate. Solid hardwood should not be glued down over concrete substrates due to the moisture content of the slab. Nail down installation method is hardwood planks mechanically fastened to the wood substrate with cleats or staples. The planks have unique tongue and groove joints to keep the planks locked together.
